CHICAGO () — The Chicago Bears are back on home turf.
Excitement is surging across the Windy City as the Bears prepare to open their home schedule against the Minnesota Vikings.
For Chicago fans, optimism is already running high. After last season’s playoff appearance, some longtime supporters believe this team could be poised for an even bigger year.
“We’re very hopeful,” Bears fan Ida Roldan said. “We made the playoffs last year. So go Bears!”
That enthusiasm has only intensified since Chicago’s emphatic victory over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday.
The Bears dominated from start to finish in a convincing 59-37 road win.
Sunday’s game will mark the first opportunity for fans at Soldier Field to watch a reimagined roster shaped by head coach Ben Johnson and directed by quarterback Caleb Williams.
“Everybody’s saying he’s really found his rhythm, and that last game was just—” Bears fan Brian Penoyer said. “I don’t even know if that covers it. It was so impressive. Absolutely, what an athlete to watch.”
With the matchup shaping up as an early test in the NFC North race, interest has pushed ticket prices higher. Several online sites listed seats Friday morning for between $250 and $400.
For fans eager to see Chicago pursue another win, the cost is hardly a deterrent.
“Any team that’s successful is good for spirit, wisdom and pride,” fan Merle Tillery said.
Soldier Field will be the center of attention Sunday, with kickoff set for noon.
