Authorities in Costa Rica are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman wanted in connection with the suspected killing of an American man discovered dead in late September.
Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Agency, the country’s FBI equivalent, released an appeal for information about the unidentified woman. The American victim, identified by authorities as “Fleming,” was found dead Sept. 27 inside a condominium near the beach.
Investigators said the 74-year-old entered a condominium in Playas del Coco, a coastal community in the popular tourist region along Costa Rica’s northern Pacific coast, at about 4:50 p.m. that day. Authorities allege the woman was later seen leaving the property without him.
