Since Ken Urker was found dead, his former partner, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, has been calling for an end to online harassment and cyberbullying.
“People need to understand what sustained online harassment can look like when hundreds or thousands of individual posts, comments, videos, and discussions accumulate against one human being,” Blanchard wrote on Instagram, sharing an “evidence log” documenting abusive messages Urker had received.
“Behind the screen was a real person. A father and partner. Someone who was loved.”
However, the post did not mention that Blanchard, 35, also sent Urker hateful messages during intense arguments in the years before his sudden death.
Urker was found dead at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on October 1—his 34th birthday. Police are continuing to investigate, but there is no evidence that Blanchard or anyone else was involved in his death.
Blanchard first met Urker while she was in prison after being convicted in 2016 of second-degree murder in the death of her mother, Claudine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. She was released on parole in December 2023.
Last week, Our News Outlet obtained audio in which Blanchard told a friend that, during a drunken and jealous outburst in 2025, she stabbed Urker’s headboard with a knife and sent him “a lot of mean texts,” including messages calling him “a piece of s**t.”
Now, an additional recording has emerged from a December 2020 phone call between Blanchard and Ryan Anderson at Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Center. In the call, she admitted telling Urker to “overdose.”

The newly obtained audio was recorded as Blanchard’s relationship with Anderson developed while she remained behind bars. By then, she and Urker had been separated for several months.
During the call, Blanchard told Anderson she had listened to Tate McRae’s song “You Broke Me First,” describing it as a “very sad little melody about someone that somebody is trying to get back with them.”
“So, anyway, I sent him that song,” she said, referring to Urker. “And then, next thing you know, he gone”—an apparent reference to him leaving her.
Anderson, 40, who was dating Blanchard at the time, replied, “Whatever, you’ll be calling him soon.” Blanchard then made the disturbing admission.
“No, even after I told him he could overdose and all that, like, he still kept himself on my email,” she said. “He never took himself off no matter how bad we got into it or how bad it seemed like we were at odds.”
Anderson appeared uncomfortable with the subject and responded: “I don’t want to talk about Ken. F**k Ken.”

Several months later, in March 2021, Blanchard repeated the claim during another call with Anderson, saying she had once “told Ken I hope he overdose[s].”
She also described telling another man she was involved with that, if she were in a relationship with him, “I wouldn’t let you ignore me.”
“I’m the type of person that would stay in yo face, knocking at your door, throwing cans at your car,” Blanchard said, before laughing.
Anderson replied: ‘Oh, Lord. I’ve gotta go. I don’t know that I want to talk to you anymore.’
Blanchard and Anderson wed in a small prison ceremony a year later in July 2022.
But the pair parted ways not long after her December 2023 prison release, and she later rekindled with Urker, who she also connected with as a pen pal while behind bars in 2017.
Blanchard and Urker later welcomed their first child, Aurora, in December 2024.
But behind closed doors, Our News Outlet recently learned, they were not as happy a couple as they portrayed on social media.

Urker and Blanchard rekindled their relationship in 2024 and welcomed a daughter that year
Blanchard admitted to her imprisoned pal Amelia Bird in September 2025 that she had a violent outburst after she found Urker had allegedly written a card to an ex-girlfriend.
Our News Outlet also obtained video from that alleged blowup, in which the mother of one could be seen cutting up a blanket with scissors.
‘This is how I feel about you! Lies, lies, lies!…. F**k you!’ Blanchard shouted in tears. Urker was not present for the outburst, but she later sent him a video of it.
A few weeks ago on October 1, Urker was found dead in his Louisiana home.
According to police, his body was found surrounded by syringes, a spoon and a holstered handgun, and a ‘brown powdery substance’ was nearby.
Blanchard – who had not been living with him at the time as the couple were separated – told media outlets that she suspected her child’s father had overdosed.

Urker’s sister Autumn slammed the narrative that her brother’s suspected overdose was intentional

No official cause of death for Urker has been released
Urker’s official autopsy and toxicology reports are pending. In the meantime, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.
It has not found evidence of foul play, but has not ruled it out.
Our News Outlet spoke exclusively to Urker’s younger sister Autumn, who slammed the idea that her brother’s suspected overdose was intentional.
‘The narrative being pushed is suicide, and that is a very hurtful narrative to the family and to anybody who loved him,’ she told us last week.
‘I’m trying to respect my brother and give him dignity. That’s why I’m being open, because that’s not fair to him.’
Blanchard rose to fame following her imprisonment for her part in the murder of her mother, who is believed to have abused her daughter by fabricating illnesses and disabilities and forcing her to get treatment. Her story was retold in a 2017 HBO documentary and dramatized in 2019 show The Act.
Our News Outlet has contacted representatives for Blanchard and Anderson for comment but has not heard back.
