A body-language expert has compared the contrasting ways NFL WAGs Hailee Steinfeld and Taylor Swift reacted while watching their respective husbands play this season.
Steinfeld made her first televised appearance supporting Josh Allen on Monday night, passionately cheering on the quarterback during the Buffalo Bills’ thrilling victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
Fans were astonished when cameras captured the 29-year-old Hollywood star leaping to her feet and seemingly shouting: ‘Go Josh! Let’s go Josh! Let’s f***ing go Josh!’
She clapped and pointed downfield as 30-year-old Allen rushed for a first down, then grinned after taking Buffalo closer to the end zone. Later, she appeared visibly nervous in overtime when another major run by Allen moved the Bills into field-goal range.
After the game, fans took to social media to discuss Steinfeld’s uninhibited reactions and how completely absorbed she appeared to be in the action.
Some also compared her response with Taylor Swift’s, after the singer famously pointed toward her wedding ring — rumored to have cost Travis Kelce as much as $1 million — while celebrating his touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts live on NBC last month.

‘That’s my husband!’ the pop superstar screamed from Arrowhead Stadium, where she was seated with her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and her mother-in-law, Donna Kelce.
Body-language expert Judi James told Our News Outlet that Steinfeld’s reaction on Monday reflected ‘total absorption and authenticity,’ while Swift’s gesture toward her ring represented more of a ‘performed message.’
James said: ‘There are two very different sets of reactions here as the women fan-girl their men in the best of moods.
‘Both women are clearly emphatically happy and proud to visibly support their guys and to be seen doing it. Hailee looks totally lost in the moment, swept up into knee-jerk, spontaneous reactions that come in such rapid succession. Their variety suggests total absorption and authenticity.
‘She leans forward with tightly clenched fists, adopting a warrior-like pose of tension by proxy. Her brows are raised, she pokes out her tongue and appears to join the action on the field, miming directions with a pointed finger and sweeping hand movements as she shouts her commands.
‘When she settles slightly, she steps back to clap, suggesting that she is also happy to blend into the crowd once she has calmed down.’
James said Swift, by comparison, appeared to be making a more ‘conscious’ effort to communicate her pride to television viewers.
‘Taylor is in a slightly different league,’ James added. ‘She knows she has the eyes of millions of fans on her at these games, and she uses the moment to speak to the world by sending a visual, performed message of total pride in her husband.

Steinfeld had not previously been shown on television supporting her husband at a Bills game
Swift, however, has been a prominent presence at NFL games since she began dating Kelce in 2023
‘Her upward glance implies she knows she is being watched and she uses the moment delightfully to point to her ring finger and yell out “That’s my husband!” to create a fun conversation with the fans.
‘It’s a ritual of utter pride but it’s a more conscious ritual and directly communicated message from a woman who is obviously used to the attention as an A-lister in her own right.’
Steinfeld has notoriously stayed out of the limelight when it comes to the career of the Bills star quarterback, but that briefly changed in Los Angeles as cameras found her in a lavish suite at SoFi Stadium.
While she has previously shared pictures from Highmark Stadium in suburban Buffalo and has been occasionally filmed by fans in a suite at games, Steinfeld has remained out of the glare of TV cameras.
That has been widely reported to be a deliberate tactic to give her husband time to shine.
The contrast has been particularly stark with Swift, who has been a huge presence on TV screens at Chiefs games while watching Kelce over the last few years.
Steinfeld and Allen began dating in May 2023, got engaged in November 2024, were married in May 2025, and then welcomed their first child in April this year.
Swift and Kelce began dating later in 2023, got engaged in August 2025 and married at a star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden in July.

Swift has not been at Kelce’s last two games on the road but they reunited in New York City
The pop sensation has been absent from Kelce’s recent road games against the Miami Dolphins and Las Vegas Raiders, but they were pictured having dinner in New York last week as the Chiefs star enjoyed his team’s bye.
The 36-year-old Grammy winner, who also celebrated the NFL player’s birthday in the Big Apple last week, grabbed dinner with her husband at the restaurant Old Rose inside The Jane Hotel, although Yelp notes that the eatery is permanently closed.
Gossip site DeuxMoi suggested that the couple could have stopped by the members club San Vincente.
Swift might be back at Arrowhead Stadium this weekend when the Chiefs host their AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon.
