Anika Rashaun, the former MTV reality star, has died at 34.

Rashaun, whose full name was Anika Rashaun Walker Rehn, died on October 1 after being diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.

She became familiar to reality TV audiences through her appearances on The Real World Seattle: Bad Blood and The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions.

Originally from New York City and raised in Philadelphia, Rashaun built a career beyond television as a dating matchmaker, writer, and coach.

The reality star received her cancer diagnosis during the summer of 2025. Soon afterward, she teamed up with Tiara Ramos to launch the Breast Friends Forever podcast.

When the project was announced online in October 2025, the pair said they were facing “the toughest journey of their lives side by side.”

The announcement said the women hoped that opening up about their experiences would help raise awareness and give others reason to hope.

After Rashaun’s death earlier this month, Ramos shared an emotional tribute on Substack.

In a post titled Breast Friends Forever: RIP to my Sister, Ramos described Rashaun’s cancer diagnosis as “a shock.”

Ramos wrote that although Rashaun’s mother had battled breast cancer years earlier, doctors had not classified Rashaun as high-risk or advised her to make mammograms a priority.

She described that missed guidance as one of several “failures” Rashaun faced within the medical system throughout her cancer journey.

In February 2026, Rashaun married her longtime partner, Kyle Rehn.

Months earlier, she had shared her excitement on Instagram while counting down to the ceremony, writing, “99 days [until] I get to marry my person.

'This year has been everything but normal, so many ups and downs and changes we had to endure and work around, but I’m happy that the one thing that remained the same was our love for each other. I can’t wait to be your wifey. I love you forever.'
