A South Australian rapper, Trex Da Menace, has been charged following a street altercation in Para Hills, located in the northern part of Adelaide.
The 25-year-old, whose legal name is Stephen Hadham Akok Noon, is currently in custody after the significant incident that unfolded yesterday afternoon. Authorities suspect a gunshot was discharged during the disturbance.
While Trex Da Menace is not accused of firing the weapon, he appeared in Elizabeth Magistrates Court today. He faces charges of obstructing police and allegedly spitting on a paramedic during his arrest.
The rapper’s lawyer contested these claims, stating that any spitting was unintentional and occurred while his client was being forcibly subdued by officers.
The court was informed that the rapper is also dealing with over 10 other charges related to previous incidents.
The magistrate denied his request for bail, citing concerns that he poses a risk of reoffending and endangering the community.
Police are still searching for a gun, and believe a 20-year-old Munno Para West man might know where it is.Â
He’s been charged with possessing ammunition and failing to answer questions about a firearm.Â
