Louvre Royal Jewels Heist: How Thieves Pulled Off an Eight-Minute Museum Hit

In a daring heist that unfolded in broad daylight on October 19, 2025, a group of thieves, cleverly disguised as construction workers, brazenly breached the security of the Louvre. In a swift operation that lasted approximately eight minutes, they made off with royal jewels valued at $100 million.

This intriguing case is dissected in a recent episode of “Zone 7,” where Sheryl McCollum sits down with Bryan Sobolewski, a former jewel thief, to unravel the mechanics of such a meticulously planned heist. Sobolewski sheds light on the critical errors that can occur when pressure mounts and how advanced forensic techniques can unravel what initially seems to be a flawless crime.

Sobolewski also opens up about his own past, sharing insights into the personal costs and enduring repercussions of his criminal activities. He now dedicates his efforts to speaking out, aiming to deter others from embarking on a similar path of crime.
