An armed gunman rams the gate at former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Colorado ranch and kidnaps a housekeeper. 48-year-old Joseph Beecher facing kidnapping, felony menacing, and other charges in both Colorado and Wyoming.

After abducting 46-year-old Amanda Edinger, Beecher forced her to drive to several stops in the Denver area before driving to Wyoming. Federal and local authorities located them at the Stagecoach Motel in Cheyenne, and a Cheyenne Police Department SWAT team made the arrest. Edinger was unharmed.

Bloomberg bought the 4,600-acre ranch in the White River Valley in 2020 for $45 million.
