Married Wisconsin Couple Found Shot Dead in Vehicle, Days Before First Wedding Anniversary

A Wisconsin couple is dead after police say they were located inside a vehicle earlier this month with gunshot wounds.

Fox News Digital reported that Rachel Dumovich, 29, and Brandon Dumovich, 30, were discovered deceased on October 6 after police noticed an abandoned vehicle in Harvard, Illinois, on the 700 block of North Division Street.

The Harvard Police Department informed that officers found a gun inside the vehicle, which had its hazard lights flashing. Both victims had gunshot wounds, with Rachel seated in the driver’s seat and Brandon seated in the passenger seat.

Roads were initially closed until police “determined there was no ongoing threat to the community,”

Just hours before her death, Rachel shared a Facebook post about their imminent honeymoon, saying, “Forever chasing sunsets. Wishing we were back in Greece.”

The wedding website, The Knot, mentioned that the couple was only days away from their first anniversary. It also noted that they were high school sweethearts.

Anyone with details on the case is encouraged to contact the Harvard Police Department at (815) 943-4431. For anonymous tips, call the Crime Stoppers hotline at (815) 943-4343 or send an email to crimestoppers@cityofharvard.org.
