ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks are gearing up for an intriguing event on March 16, where they will honor Magic City, the iconic adult entertainment venue that is synonymous with Atlanta’s vibrant nightlife.

In a nod to this “cultural landmark,” the Hawks are organizing an evening brimming with delectable offerings, most notably the club’s renowned lemon pepper wings. Attendees can also look forward to a night of music and limited-edition merchandise.

The evening’s opponents? None other than the Orlando Magic, fittingly.

“This partnership and theme night hold special significance for me, considering the efforts we put into creating ‘Magic City: An American Fantasy’,” expressed Jami Gertz, the Hawks’ principal owner, who is also a filmmaker and actor. “Magic City stands as a pivotal Atlanta institution, leaving an indelible mark on the city’s distinct cultural tapestry.”

Gertz contributed as a producer to the STARZ docuseries ‘Magic City: An American Fantasy,’ a five-part exploration of the club’s historical significance in hip-hop and Black culture. The evening is set to feature an electrifying halftime show by Atlanta’s very own T.I., alongside a unique pregame podcast recording delving into the club’s influence across music, culture, and sports.

Magic City will offer two variations of its famed lemon pepper wings, including a special edition named after former Hawks guard Lou Williams.

Said T.I.: “We doin’ this one for the city … Magic City.”
