Savannah Sips: Rhett

SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Brunch, blue crab risotto and a bloody mary bar. Three beneficial reasons to check out Rhett in downtown Savannah.

Located inside the Alida Hotel, Rhett is a coastal southern seafood restaurant focused on serving dishes made with fresh, local ingredients to its guests.

According to Executive Chef Zach Chancey, his approach is to let the quality of the food shine through, whether it’s fish, shrimp, or oysters. The key is to source high-quality products and not interfere too much with their natural flavors.

Rhett offers a happy hour every day from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., featuring a menu with $2 oysters, hushpuppies, various refreshing cocktails, and for dessert, cardamom cinnamon beignets.

Insider’s tip: As a fan of seafood, I highly suggest trying the she crab soup or the blue crab risotto. It’s clear this staff member is quite fond of crab!
