NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — One man is dead, and another has been seriously injured after a rollover crash in Stark County on the morning of Saturday, November 23.

According to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at approximately 8:26 a.m. Mountain Time, a 2003 Dodge Ram towing a gooseneck trailer was traveling westbound on I-94 when it hit a patch of ice on a bridge deck one mile east of Gladstone. The vehicle veered into the north ditch and overturned, causing the trailer to detach. Its rear end then landed on top of the Ram, which had come to rest on the passenger’s side.

The driver of the Ram (a 68-year-old man from Langford, South Dakota) and its passenger (a 35-year-old man from Langford) were severely injured and transported to CHI St. Alxeius in Williston for treatment. The driver later passed away from his injuries while at the hospital.

The crash currently remains under investigation.
