The spotlight shone brightly on Savannah native, Flau’jae Johnson, who played a pivotal role in the win, making the event even more special given its proximity to her hometown.

Johnson also added six assists to her stat line, further cementing her influence on the game.

Reflecting on the experience, Johnson described it as one of the most memorable days in her college career. “It was fun; everyone has that love for me,” she remarked, noting the joy she felt throughout the game. “I was smiling all day even on turnovers.”

Despite a quiet first quarter, Johnson ignited in the second, showcasing her shooting skills with three three-pointers. Her standout moment came with a dazzling behind-the-back assist, which helped propel LSU into a significant scoring surge that left Georgia Southern trailing.
