On Thursday evening, a solemn procession departed from Medstar Washington Medical Center, transporting the remains of Sarah Beckstrom to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Beckstrom, a 20-year-old specialist serving with the West Virginia National Guard, tragically passed away on Thanksgiving. Her death followed a shooting incident that also left her fellow guardsman, 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe, injured. Wolfe’s current condition remains undisclosed.
