Man facing drug, weapons and armed violence charges in Coles Co.


CHARLESTON, Ill. (WCIA) — A man found himself in deeper legal trouble after Charleston Police apprehended him for allegedly pilfering more than $1,000 in merchandise from Walmart, despite already being embroiled in multiple other legal issues.

According to a Facebook news release from the department, officers were dispatched to the scene on October 14 following a reported shoplifting incident. Authorities identified 47-year-old Sean K. Beck on surveillance footage, walking out of the Walmart with goods in hand, making no effort to pay.
