Seminole County Teen Charged as Adult in Two Shootings at 14-Year-Old Girl’s Home, Deputies Say

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A 17-year-old Orlando teen is being prosecuted as an adult on attempted murder charges after authorities said he fired at a teenage girl’s Altamonte Springs home on two occasions, according to court documents.

Zebron Trenton Biggs was arrested May 27 after the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office connected him to two separate shootings at the residence. The case was first handled in juvenile court, but prosecutors moved it to adult court in late June, records show.

In an affidavit filed by the sheriff’s office, investigators said Biggs told an Orlando police officer he shot at the home “in an attempt to kill” a 14-year-old girl because “he didn’t want to have a baby with a 14-year-old and that she lied to him about her age.”

Court records indicate Biggs admitted involvement in both shootings, which happened May 22 and May 24. Investigators said surveillance video from a neighbor’s camera showed a black SUV — matching a vehicle registered to Biggs’ mother — slowing near the home before about seven gunshots were heard.

Detectives said Biggs also reported going to the Altamonte Mall to look for the girl before driving to her home on May 24 and firing shots, believing she was inside.

Authorities said no injuries were reported in either incident.

Biggs faces two counts of attempted first-degree premeditated murder and remains jailed without bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 6.
