Richmond County makes major drug bust at local hotel

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a major alleged drug trafficker at a local hotel.

On Tuesday, the Narcotics Division apprehended 45-year-old Roman Kelly at the Quality Inn located on Gordon Highway. According to reports, Kelly was in possession of roughly 28 grams of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.

This arrest came after a months-long investigation into the drug-trafficking operation.

Investigators found the following inside his hotel room:
