Trump warns Iran will be 'hit very hard' on Saturday, says regime 'apologized' to Middle East neighbors

President Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Saturday, indicating that the nation would face severe consequences as the U.S. military’s “Operation Epic Fury” continues into its second week.

On Truth Social, Trump declared, “Today, Iran will face substantial repercussions! We are seriously contemplating comprehensive destruction and definite casualties due to Iran’s unacceptable conduct. Specific regions and groups, previously not considered targets, are now under scrutiny.”

Trump proclaimed that Iran could no longer claim the title of “Bully of the Middle East,” following an apology from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian for aggressive actions against Gulf neighbors.

He remarked, “Iran, which is being severely beaten, has extended its apologies and conceded to its Middle Eastern neighbors, pledging to cease hostilities. This pledge results from the relentless assaults by the U.S. and Israel.”

Trump further asserted, “Their ambition was to dominate the Middle East. This marks the first occasion in millennia where Iran has been outmatched by its neighboring countries. They expressed their gratitude to me, and I responded, ‘You’re welcome!'”

In a pre-recorded broadcast on Saturday, Pezeshkian issued an apology for the wave of retaliatory strikes that impacted Iran’s neighboring nations following the coordinated U.S.-Israel offensive.

The 71-year-old claimed Iran had the right to “take all necessary measures” to defend itself, but said Iran would stop attacking its neighbors as long as they didn’t launch strikes back.

Iran launched several missiles across the region early Saturday.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps claims it targeted a US air warfare center at al-Dhafra Air Base in the UAE.

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia both revealed they shot down drones over their airspace on Saturday.

Explosions were also reported around Dubai, forcing Emirates Airlines to suspend all flights to and from the city.

Trump vowed Friday that there would be no peace until Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”

However, Pezeshkian seemingly responded to Trump’s demand.

“That’s a dream that they should take to their grave,” he said during his address.
