Green Party leader Zack Polanski is condemned for sharing posts from 'extremist' social media accounts that spread anti-Semitic messages online

Green Party leader Zack Polanski has repeatedly reposted accounts containing hateful material about Jews and Israel, the Daily Mail can reveal.

An investigation by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) found that, although Mr Polanski did not publish the offensive material himself, he amplified accounts accused of promoting antisemitism to his 206,000 followers.

The material included claims that “Israel’s Epstein class billionaire backers spend their fortunes on raping, murdering and eating babies”, that Zionists are “not human, they are lower than vermin” and that the sexual violence committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023, was “a massive rape hoax”.

The CAA said Mr Polanski had reposted material from at least six accounts that had attracted scrutiny.

The findings come only months after Mr Polanski faced a backlash over an image he posted showing a man in a black T-shirt that appeared to depict Nigel Farage’s execution.

The shirt carried the slogan “We’re only making plans for Nigel”, alongside an image of a guillotine.

Mr Polanski refused to apologise, saying he had not “done anything wrong” and describing the post as an “inadvertent mistake”.

However, following the incident in July, he pledged to “make a commitment to be better on my social media”.

The Daily Mail has seen evidence that Mr Polanski reposted material from the accounts as recently as last month.

Some of the accounts had shared antisemitic conspiracy theories alleging that Jews or Israel control the world.

One post said: “But sure, it’s an ‘antisemitic trope’ to suggest Rothschilds and Israel control the world. What a f*cking scam”.

Another claimed: “Zionism’s capture of the western political and media narrative is so successful that you have to pretend it hasn’t happened, or you’ll be called anti-semitic.”

One account directly targeted Jews, stating: “What did Jews get? The state of Israel was created for you, yet you people are still complain[ing] because nothing is ever enough for you lot.”

Another reposted the claim: “From the beginning, the jews have been satanic evil colonisers”.

Some accounts shared antisemitic conspiracy theories claiming that Jews and Israel control the world, or that attacks against the Jewish community were “false flags”

Two accounts dehumanised Zionists by describing them as “the ugliest people on the planet”, while another wrote: “Israeli citizens *are* parasites STOP APOLOGISING”.

The investigation also identified posts denying attacks against Jews.

One account described the events of October 7 as a “lie” and claimed Hamas had “mainly targeted the Israeli military”.

It continued: “The kids at the festival got caught in the crossfire and many victims were killed by the Israelis themselves.”

Regarding arson attacks earlier this year against four Jewish community ambulances in Golders Green, one account claimed: “They’re calling it the most obvious false flag of all time.”

The accounts also celebrated violence against Israel. One post said that, if Tel Aviv had been flattened, “I would demand a national public holiday of celebration”.

One account appeared to express support for Hezbollah, a proscribed terrorist group in the UK, writing: “Love it when Iran and Hezb coordinate their missile attacks on genocidal Israel”.

Another reposted the words “long live the Resistance!”, apparently referring to Hamas, in response to New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani acknowledging the attacks of October 7.

One post also compared Jews with Nazis, stating: “They are addicted to killing. Zionism is a death cult, I mean it literally. The ideology only derives meaning from violence against the untermenschen.”

Last month, the CAA formally referred the Green Party to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) over its passage of the “Zionism is Racism” motion. Following the latest findings, the organisation accused the Green Party leader of being “in hock to extremists”.

A spokesperson said: “Zack Polanski may not have shared these particular posts, but we have uncovered how he has repeatedly amplified accounts that peddle vile antisemitic tropes.

“That speaks volumes about the company he keeps.

“Coming hard on the heels of the abominable ‘Zionism is racism’ motion, it is yet more evidence that he is in hock to extremists, who are now exerting decisive influence over his Green Party.

“There must be repercussions, which is why we have referred the Green Party to the EHRC.”

The Green Party has been approached for comment.
