A teenager who was killed in a collision with a four-wheel-drive while riding an electric motorbike in Melbourne’s north-east has been remembered by friends as a kind and well-liked member of the community.

Last night around 10 PM, emergency crews rushed to Chute Street in Diamond Creek following a collision involving an electric motorcycle and a 4WD vehicle.

At the scene, 14-year-old Ryley Ziebell received medical attention, but unfortunately, efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced deceased.

Today, a gathering of young individuals has formed at the crash site, paying their respects to Ziebell.

“He was a genuinely kind person, always approachable,” a friend shared with 9News.

“Ryley was among the most remarkable individuals I’ve ever encountered. He truly didn’t deserve this,” the friend added.

The driver of the 4WD, a 22-year-old, was interviewed by authorities but was subsequently released without any charges.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
