British police investigating the torture and killing of two kittens have released CCTV images of two teenagers they wish to speak with.

The public appeal follows a report from a community member claiming that teenagers allegedly dismembered the kittens in north-west London earlier this month.

Video footage captures a boy and girl walking along a tree-lined street in Ruislip, and shortly after, they are seen running back in the opposite direction carrying a bag believed to contain the kittens.

The Metropolitan Police launched an investigation but to date no arrests have been made.

Sergeant Babs Rock said the distressing incident had caused major community concern.

“We are presently seeking to speak with a young boy, described as being 1.6 meters tall with short dark hair. He was seen wearing a dark long-sleeve jacket and blue jeans on the day the incident occurred.”

“He was also seen carrying a black duffel bag, which sadly is thought to have contained the kittens.

“We would also like to speak with the young girl, who accompanied the boy, described to be 1.6 metres with long red hair. She was wearing a white top with black shorts. She was also carrying a purple jumper, which she later puts on to wear.”
