A man has been arrested after a boy and a woman were stabbed.
A teenager is fighting for life after being stabbed during a reported neighbourhood dispute west of Brisbane that also saw a house go up in flames.
Police said an altercation between a group of people known to each other took place on Cascade Street in Raceview, Ipswich, this afternoon.

A violent incident unfolded when a teenage boy and a woman in her 50s were both stabbed during an attack.

The teenager sustained critical injuries to his abdomen and was urgently transported to the Queensland Children’s Hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The woman, who suffered stab wounds to her chest and hands, is in a more stable condition. She was admitted to Mater Hospital, where her injuries are being treated.

In addition to the stabbings, the attacker, a male, set a house on fire on the same street. Firefighters were able to control and extinguish the blaze.

The suspect has been apprehended and is currently cooperating with police investigations.
