Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love is hoping to catch a wave in the luxury property market, listing his remarkable Lake Tahoe estate for an eye-popping $43 million.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member, who helped launch the legendary surf-rock group, has shared the expansive mountainside getaway with his wife, Jacquelyne, for more than 40 years.
But this is far from a typical celebrity trophy home.
Spanning nearly 20,000 square feet above Lake Tahoe, the property blends resort-level scale with a deeply personal spiritual atmosphere, filled with Eastern religious artifacts and highly customized features.
Set within the exclusive community of Incline Village, Nevada, the residence was selected by Love as a refuge from the demands of life on the road.
Its elevated position delivers sweeping 180-degree views across Lake Tahoe and the dramatic Sierra Nevada range.
‘There are views from every window, whether you’re seeing Diamond Peak or you’re seeing Lake Tahoe,’ said listing agent Jeannette Harpole of Keller Williams.
To preserve those multimillion-dollar vistas, Love and his wife placed six acres of nearby land into conservation, a move that prevents future development around the estate and permanently safeguards its privacy.

Love, who started the era-defining Beach Boys in with his cousins Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, as well as friend Al Jardine, has spent nearly all of his life touring with the band.
But whenever the singer finished playing for tens of thousands of screaming fans, he and Jacquelyne would return to the granite-and-pine-studded hills of Tahoe.

Rubies, diamonds and pearls are intricately embedded in the wood, which prominently features a detailed carving of Ganesh, the Hindu god of new beginnings.
The magnificent entrance door was even officially blessed by a Hindu priest before being installed.
Stepping past the threshold, the interior opens up to reveal a stunning indoor koi pond anchoring a grand, wrought-iron spiral staircase.
The staircase wraps elegantly upward toward a hand-painted celestial dome ceiling that depicts a glittering, star-filled dark night sky.

The entire house features cozy radiant heated flooring, allowing residents and guests to comfortably walk through the massive home without shoes.
At the center of the main level sits a spectacular great room, boasting floor-to-ceiling glass windows and completely retractable doors that melt away to open the space onto an expansive terrace.
The great room is anchored by an enormous, two-story river rock fireplace that seamlessly integrates a custom water wall.
The room also features custom antique white oak parquet flooring, plus a grand piano and a full harp – clear reminders of the legendary music of the home’s founder.

The primary suite is a private kingdom of its own, occupying an entire wing of the estate and featuring a stone fireplace and a private deck overlooking the water.
It boasts dual master bathrooms—one crafted entirely from stone with a hot steam room, and the other housing a luxurious soaking tub, a private coffee bar, and an attached sun deck.
Eight of the remaining bedrooms are fully en suite, each individually designed by Jacquelyne around meticulous themes, including one honoring Native American culture and another celebrating Lake Tahoe.

Unsurprisingly, the home includes a fully integrated, professional recording studio, featuring pitched ceilings and specialized acoustic tuning – it’s where much of Love’s later work took shape.
The home also functions as an entertainment paradise, featuring a professional chef’s kitchen, a private movie theater, a poker room, a vintage arcade, a wine cellar with a tasting room, a boardroom and a gym.

Outside, Love took his love for winter sports to the extreme by constructing his very own private ice-skating rink on the property.
He even went as far as to stock the rink with skates in every shoe size to accommodate visiting guests.
Beyond being a private playground, the Loves were pillars of the Incline Village community, co-founding the local private Lake Tahoe School and heavily supporting the Incline Village Community Hospital.

The $43 million asking price stands as one of the premier luxury listings in the entire Lake Tahoe area, a market that has increasingly drawn tech billionaires and ultra-wealthy elites craving high-altitude privacy.
The record for the most expensive sale in the Lake Tahoe area was $125 million, for a home in Incline Village earlier this year, one of two properties acquired by a mystery buyer with ties to a Silicon Valley venture capital firm.
