Dua Lipa and Callum Turner celebrated their marriage in grand style with a three-day celebration in Sicily, following an official ceremony in London. The event felt like a scene straight from a summer movie.
Their wedding comes just over two years into their relationship, which began in a way that could inspire any romantic comedy filmmaker.
Before their romance, the 30-year-old pop sensation was linked to French director Romain Gavras, while 36-year-old Callum Turner was in a relationship with Vanessa Kirby, known for her role in “The Crown.”
In a candid January 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, Dua shared her thoughts on dating, saying, “Dating, I think overall, is just a little confusing. It’s either through friends of friends or people you trust where you can meet new people, because [dating] is not really so straightforward when you are, I guess, a public person.”
Fortunately, her path led to Callum, and the connection proved to be just right.
Although they had several near encounters, it was at The River Cafe in London where they officially met. Dining separately, they were introduced by Ruthie Rogers, the renowned restaurant’s owner.

The encounter was brief, and nothing came of it – until they ran into each other again a year later in 2024.
The singer was having dinner with her friend Mustafa the Poet in LA, while Callum was in town promoting Masters of the Air.
Dua told Vogue she remembered thinking: ‘Oh, it’s that really hot guy from the River Café.’
Her interest only grew when she noticed that Callum was reading the same book as her: Hernán Díaz’s Trust.
When asked if she felt it meant they were destined to be together, she told Vogue: ‘1,000 per cent.’
Callum elaborated on the moment during an interview with The Sunday Times Style magazine in October 2025.
‘We sat next to each other and realised we were reading the same book, which is crazy,’ he said. ‘It’s called Trust, and I had just finished the first chapter and I told her, and she looked at me and said, ‘I just finished the first chapter too.”
The singer then attended the LA afterparty for Callum’s film, where they first sparked romance rumours with a video of them slow dancing and sharing a kiss emerging.
Days later, they were spotted on what looked like a date in California’s Santa Monica.
After attending the Grammys and then the Brits together a month later, the pair appeared to confirm their relationship by walking hand in hand.
But it wasn’t until May 2024 that they went Instagram official with a sweet snap of them hugging in matching leather jackets.
Although Dua doesn’t tag Callum, she captions the post: ‘Sunshineeeeeee :))))).’
Later that year, the pair were spotted partying together at Glastonbury, where the singer headlined the Pyramid Stage on Friday night.
From November 2024, Callum became a regular feature on Dua’s social media.
That year they spent their first Christmas together, with the singer sharing festive pictures with him.

When it came to February 2025, the hitmaker sparked engagement rumours after posting a snap with a huge diamond ring on her finger.
But it wasn’t until June 2025 that Dua confirmed their engagement.
In an interview with Vogue, she revealed: ‘Yeah, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.’
However, she insisted at the time that they were in no rush to get married as Callum was off shooting a film and she was on tour.
Speaking about her upcoming nuptials, she said: ‘I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be.
‘All of a sudden I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?”
At their intimate nuptials, Dua radiated bridal elegance in a custom Schiaparelli skirt suit, white gloves, a Bulgari necklace and a wide-brimmed white hat designed by milliner Stephen Jones.
The singer clutched a yellow bouquet and wore white Louboutin heels while strolling out of the registry office hand in hand with her new husband.
Dua and Callum were supported by close family before jumping into the back of a black cab and embracing as they were whisked away to start married life together.
The wedding only lasted between 30 and 40 minutes and Callum grinned boyishly as he held his new wife’s hand in his and walked her down the steps under a rainbow of confetti.
Ahead of their main ceremony, insiders have been hailing the couple’s nuptials as the ‘showbiz wedding of the year’, calling it Sicily’s most high-profile marriage since Al Pacino’s Michael Corleone wed Apollonia Vitelli in 1972 classic The Godfather.
No expense has been spared for the big day, with the pair said to have booked an entire floor of suites at the luxurious Villa Igiea hotel overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The ceremony itself will take place at the 17th century Villa Valguarnera, perhaps the most sumptuous of the villas in Bagheria, an idyllic town ten miles away from Palermo.
The stunning 18th century Palazzo Gangi – which is privately owned – will be the centre of the party on Saturday, with its spectacular Galleria degli Specchi (Hall of Mirrors) providing the perfect setting.
Around 200 family and friends will be attending the three-day event which began on Thursday with private jet slots booked up at Palermo’s airport and a fleet of blacked out limos to ferry guests to various villas and hotels.
Sir Elton John, Mark Ronson and Charli XCX are among the music stars billed to attend, with Donatella Versace and Simon Porte Jacquemus from the fashion world.
In advance of the wedding, Dua is believed to have travelled to Italy to meet Donatella to finalise the details of the dress she is designing for the singer to wear on her big day.
Because of her long-time friendship with the designer, friends are convinced that Dua will wear a custom Atelier Versace gown.
A source close to the wedding told the Daily Mail’s Katie Hind: ‘This is going to be the coolest wedding, and so glam.
‘Both Dua and Callum have been so excited and have been really involved with the planning. They want it to be epic.’
Private security firms have also been doing a roaring trade with teams of bodyguards also hired and all staff involved in the wedding have been made to sign non-disclosure agreements.
Dua and Callum fell in love with Sicily during a holiday last summer and she is often pictured in the famous pink and black strip of the city’s football club.
They also attended the wedding of Charli XCX and The 1975’s George Daniel when they tied married last September in Tonnara di Scopello just down the road from Palermo.
According to Conde Nast, the nuptials have made Sicily the wedding destination of the year and bookings for the sun-kissed Mediterranean island are said to be shooting through the roof.
