Apple Martin has long been fiercely protective of her privacy. In fact, she once publicly reprimanded her mother, Gwyneth Paltrow, for sharing a photo of her on Instagram.
“Mom, we have discussed this,” the then-14-year-old wrote beneath a photo posted by Paltrow, which showed her wearing oversized ski goggles. “You may not post anything without my consent.”
Eight years on, however, young love appears to have softened the model and aspiring actress’s approach to life in the public eye.
The 22-year-old did little to conceal her romance when she wrapped her arms around a dark-haired man at a busy street corner in East Hampton, on New York’s Long Island, last week. The pair then shared a very public kiss.
The man is 23-year-old Moshe Levi, a former college athlete and international philanthropist who attended Radley College, the Oxfordshire boarding school where fees reach £63,000 ($84,300) a year.
Apple and Levi were first seen together on a Hamptons beach in August 2025. Since then, Apple has appeared to drop a series of hints about their relationship on social media, beginning in March this year. One post showed the bikini-clad model cuddling a partly obscured shirtless man on a boat in Europe, while a May image captured Levi embracing her as she snuggled against him at a bar.

The two have been dating for over a year after meeting at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. They were snapped in the Hamptons in August 2025 (pictured)
The couple are believed to have met more than a year ago while studying at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. Apple has spoken warmly in interviews about her college years, saying she enjoyed a “really normal experience” and made “the best friends in the world,” but she has never publicly referred to Levi. The pair have also yet to make a joint red-carpet appearance or attend a public event together.
Levi was nevertheless part of the family celebrations when Apple graduated in May. He joined Apple, Paltrow, Chris Martin and her brother Moses as she completed her bachelor’s degree in law, history and society.
New York-based Levi appears to have been welcomed by the family. An insider close to Paltrow told Our News Outlet that “Gwyneth is telling friends it was love at first sight when they met,” adding that “Apple’s father Chris also couldn’t be happier for her.”
“The last thing either of them wanted was for Apple to play the field. The fact she’s found someone who’s so smart and adores her is all they’ve ever wished for her.” Levi’s background and achievements are certainly notable.
His family is from Peru, and, like Apple, he has grown up accustomed to an international lifestyle. In addition to attending Radley College, where he played football and cricket, Levi studied at the bilingual International School of Monaco, which charges around €34,400 ($39,400) in annual fees. Apple attended Santa Monica’s Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences, where tuition is approximately $58,000 a year.
Levi graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and business.
A source close to Apple previously described Levi as coming from “old money” and a “good family that wants to make a difference in the world,” according to Our News Outlet.
His interest in philanthropy was already clear before he began at Vanderbilt. For a year, Levi worked as the Community Coordinator for the Global Mindfulness Group, an initiative founded by his mother, Orly Mekler, in 2020. The project supports people seeking to “feel better, understand themselves more and live with greater awareness.”

Levi, 23, a college athlete-turned-international philanthropist who was educated at the £63,000-a-year Oxfordshire boarding school, Radley College, has been teased on Apple’s Instagram (pictured together in March on a boat)

In May, Apple shared an image where she was being embraced by Levi (pictured)
Levi also co-founded MOSHA with his family. The nonprofit works with underprivileged children across Peru, focusing on “education and empowerment.”
“He is close to his mother, who has been a big influence in his life,” a second insider close to Apple said. “That is why he wants to be a philanthropist; he wants to give back and help people.”
It is perhaps no surprise that he has won over Apple’s father Chris Martin, who along with fronting Coldplay supports charities such as Oxfam, Global Citizen and War Child.
‘All [Apple and Levi’s] friends are rich,’ the second insider said. ‘But they want to build careers where they make a difference in the world. They are good people, not your typical nepo kids.
‘Gwyneth approves of this guy because he comes from a good family – he is not some dude she met in a bar.
‘He also has impeccable manners and is interested in business, politics. He is well read, and Gwyneth likes that.’
Born to Martin and Paltrow in May 2004, Apple had a relatively private childhood. But as a ‘mini-Gwynnie’ and the offspring of an acting dynasty – Gwyneth’s mother Blythe Danner, now 83, was also an actress – she slowly started stepping into the spotlight in her late teens. Apple was 18 when she attended her first fashion show – Chanel’s Couture Spring 2023 offering – and the following year she made her society debut at the Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris wearing a blue Valentino gown.
Campaigns for Gap and womenswear brands Self Portrait and Chloe soon followed, as well as a brief and widely derided foray into music when she joined the group Jade Street onstage in Nashville last year.

‘Gwyneth is telling friends it was love at first sight when they met,’ one insider told Our News Outlet, adding: ‘Apple’s father Chris also couldn’t be happier for her’ (Apple pictured with her parents Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin)
Now, she is gearing up for her acting debut in Nancy Meyers’ upcoming rom-com, Paris Paramount. ‘My dream is to act,’ she told Vogue earlier this year.
‘Apple and Moshe want to be together all the time,’ said our Paltrow insider.
‘But Apple is mainly a West Coast girl. That’s where her parents live. She’s very close to both Gwyneth and Chris. She not only wants to settle in the LA area because of that, but also because her ambition is to follow in Gwyneth’s footsteps and become an actress.
‘Moshe is an East Coast boy, and LA isn’t his favorite place.
‘The one place they have in common is the Hamptons, where they both spend time. But it’s not where either of them would consider settling down full-time.’
But long distance relationship issues were certainly put to one side last week when the pair were seen on Long Island in the Hamptons wearing complementary white outfits and struggling to keep their hands to themselves as they hit the shops just a stone’s throw from Paltrow’s $5.3 million mansion in the coastal hamlet of Amangansett.
The young couple have been spending time at the house where they ‘make dinner for friends’ as well as ‘read and watch old movies’ when they’re not jet-setting. Apple previously opened up to Interview magazine about how she spends her down time, telling the publication: ‘A dream for me is a bubble bath and candles and books – just relaxing alone, but also having really deep connections with people.’
Her deep connection with Levi has clearly excited her mother, who is said to be getting carried away with a potential wedding for her only daughter.

‘Gwyneth is already telling friends one of her greatest joys would be to plan a wedding for Apple and Moshe,’ said our Paltrow insider. ‘Apple’s told her mum to slow down’ (Apple pictured with her mom and brother Moses last year)
The actress, who was once briefly engaged to Brad Pitt in the 1990s, married Martin in 2003, a year after meeting him backstage at a Coldplay concert. They later ‘consciously uncoupled’ in March 2014, with the divorce finalized in 2016. Martin dated actress Dakota Johnson on and off from 2017 until last summer, while Paltrow went on to marry producer Brad Falchuk in 2018.
But Apple is keen to take things at her own pace.
‘Although Apple is only 22, Gwyneth is already telling friends one of her greatest joys would be to plan a wedding for Apple and Moshe,’ said our Paltrow insider.
‘Apple’s told her mom to slow down, but when Gwyneth gets an idea in her head, she runs with it and it’s hard to stop her. She says she recognizes they’re soulmates.’
