Hayden Christensen stepped onto the red carpet with his daughter, Briar Rose, in a rare public appearance at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art Opening Night Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The 45-year-old actor, best known for portraying Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise, smiled for photographers as he and Briar joined the star-studded celebration.
Christensen shares 11-year-old Briar with actress Rachel Bilson, his former partner. The couple began their on-and-off relationship in 2007 before separating in 2017.
The actor opted for a polished yet relaxed look, wearing fitted jeans, a printed gray shirt and a dark blue jacket.
He completed the ensemble with a pair of brown shoes.
After arriving at the gala, Christensen and his daughter stopped to pose together for photographers.

The father-daughter duo later posed for additional photographs inside the gala, where fellow stars including Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry were also spotted.
Our News Outlet has contacted Christensen’s representatives for comment but has not yet received a response.
While speaking with E! News, Christensen discussed bringing Briar to the museum’s opening celebration.
He described the occasion as “special,” adding: “We’re very happy to be here, and it’s a real treat to get to share this with my daughter.”
Briar has also briefly seen her father in his Darth Vader role in Star Wars and shared her reaction to the character.
“It was really cool when I saw him up there,” the preteen told the publication.
In August, Christensen made rare comments about parenting while attending D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in California.
‘I have a young daughter, and I love watching shows with her,’ he told MTV UK, before sharing what she enjoys watching.

“It was really cool when I saw him up there,” Briar told the publication
“Her favorite ones right now are Liv and Maddie and Henry Danger, so I enjoy getting to watch those with her.”
The actor added: “But when I’m on my own, I recently got into a show called The Agency with Michael Fassbender. It’s really good.”
Christensen and Bilson first crossed paths while on set of the 2008 movie Jumper, and soon struck up a romance.
The two stars became engaged in 2009, but called off the engagement the following year. However, the pair reconciled and their daughter Briar was welcomed to the world in October 2014.
The former couple officially went their separate ways back in 2017.
Earlier this year in January, Bilson gave insight into her co-parenting relationship with Christensen during an episode of the Let’s Be Honest With Kristen Cavallari podcast.
‘We get along really well. We have been able to keep it very copacetic and nice for [Briar]. We weren’t ever married so we figured out our own way, our own path,’ the Hart Of Dixie actress explained.
‘I’m really close to his family and it’s been almost 19 years or something, which is a long time [ago]. It feels like [water under the bridge]…’

Bilson added: ‘She is so loved by both of us and that’s all you really need to make sure what happens.’
The star also reflected on her relationship with the Star Wars actor while stopping by the podcast.
‘I was really young, and I think that relationship let me take a step back,’ the actress recalled.
‘I felt I was very present because I wasn’t chasing the career thing. It wasn’t number one for me, but I tend to do that. I tend to put relationships – but now my kid – first.’

Bilson continued: ‘I think that it was just interesting to see that I put everything else on hold because I wanted to support and nurture that relationship. You just change so much.
‘You watch The Bachelor and there’s girls on there [who are] 23, and I’m, like, “Don’t do it!”‘

‘I would be thrilled to get to do that,’ he admitted to E! News at the museum gala over the weekend. ‘But right now, those are just rumors.’
