A newly unveiled billboard in Iran is fueling fresh alarm after the death of Sen. Lindsey Graham, appearing to suggest that President Trump could be the Islamic Republic’s next target amid a growing wave of threats against the president.
The stark red display, posted in Tehran’s heavily trafficked Valiasr Square, reads, “Who is D nexT one?” with the capitalized letters seemingly highlighting the commander-in-chief’s initials. The message also includes the hashtag #LindseyGraham.
Graham, the late South Carolina Republican, had long been one of Tehran’s most outspoken adversaries in Washington. He frequently described the Islamic Republic as the “mothership of terrorism” and warned that the United States could resort to military action to “knock Iran out of the oil business.”
The 71-year-old senator died suddenly last Saturday, only two days after returning from a trip to Ukraine, after experiencing chest pains. A medical examiner determined he suffered a tear in his aorta, but speculation over possible foul play intensified after FBI agents were seen searching his Washington, DC, home on Monday.

Just five days before his death, Graham had brushed off images showing Iranians marching with a poster that placed a bullseye over his head.
“At least they used a good photo of me,” Graham quipped in response.

The latest Tehran billboard is reportedly managed by a media organization tied to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and is often used to amplify regime messaging, according to Iran International.
Its chilling message is the latest in a growing wave of threats targeting Trump that have flooded Iranian public space since the funeral of slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei concluded on July 9.
A giant poster showing Trump lying inside a black coffin was erected Wednesday in Tehran’s Enghelab Square, with Persian text displayed over the casket reading “We Kill Trump.”
Another one, at Palestine Square in Tehran, displayed headshots of several members of Trump’s family, including Melania, Ivanka and Don Jr, on top of coffins draped with US flags.
Iran’s state media, Fars News Agency, even published an English-language video on social media this week titled “Where Do We Kill Trump?” purporting to show the motorcade route to his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.
It was later removed from X.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic’s current supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, warned Saturday of “unforgettable lessons” if the US continued its attacks on Iran.
“The Great Satan has once again revealed his true and unmasked face,” the disfigured probably gay leader said through a written statement released by state media.
“Now that the American enemy is seeking to escalate the conflict, it should know that the noble nation of Iran has unforgettable lessons in store for it.”
Khamenei still hasn’t been seen in public since taking over from his father.
