Jack Antonoff has addressed his split from actress Margaret Qualley with a joking response during a recent concert.
The Bleachers frontman, 42, and Qualley, 31, confirmed in July that they had ended their marriage after three years together.
Antonoff referenced the breakup while performing at The Troubadour in Los Angeles on September 15, after a fan asked him to play his 2017 song “Let’s Get Married.”
After a fan asked him to play his 2017 track Let’s Get Married, Antonoff quipped, ‘absolutely not,’ in a video shared on social media.
“Absolutely not,” Antonoff quipped. He then told the audience, “Read the news, brother,” before laughing and adding, “I love that song and I wrote it, like, 11 years ago.”
At the time Antonoff wrote the track, he appeared to still be dating his former partner Lena Dunham. The pair were together from 2012 until 2017. Dunham revealed on Wednesday that she had welcomed a daughter via surrogate.

Antonoff and Qualley, who have an 11-year age difference, were last publicly seen together at the Grammy Awards on February 1. Their separation was announced just weeks before what would have been their third wedding anniversary.
Qualley’s representative told TMZ on July 10 that infidelity was not involved. The representative also denied claims of trust issues, describing the circumstances surrounding the end of the actress’s “rocky” marriage to the Golden Globe-nominated songwriter.
In July sources claimed to Page Six that Antonoff and Qualley ‘have no plans to reconcile’ and ‘are done for good’ but ‘they are still communicating and being respectful of one another.’
Speculation intensified when Antonoff attended the July 3 wedding celebrations for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce with his sister Rachel, rather than Qualley.
The former couple may still have been together on March 31, when Qualley posted an Instagram Story marking Antonoff’s birthday.
She shared a photograph of the musician with his arm around her and wrote, “Happy birthday sweetheart.”
However, on April 28, Qualley restored her Instagram handle to her legal name, Sarah Margaret Qualley, after previously using a name linked to Antonoff’s music. She also removed wedding images posted in March from their ceremony at Beach Haven in his home state of New Jersey.
Qualley’s absence from the high-profile wedding festivities came 11 months after she offered an awkward reaction when asked why Antonoff had not produced one of Swift’s albums.

The actress appeared caught off guard when Today co-host Craig Melvin mentioned The Life of a Showgirl in their sit-down.
After noting that Antonoff has ‘produced for Taylor for years’ and has ‘an album that’s coming out,’ the journalist asked Qualley to ‘tell us about’ the record.
‘I don’t know anything,’ she replied as her eyes widened in surprise.
Qualley proceeded to let out an awkward laugh before adding, ‘I’ll be excited to listen to the music.’
Melvin responded with a pointed, ‘OK. Alright,’ signaling he wasn’t entirely convinced she was as out of the loop as she claimed.
Antonoff has served as Swift’s primary co-songwriter and producer on her most recent albums, 2022’s Midnights and 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department.
Her latest record, however, was produced by Max Martin and Shellback.
Swift fans famously swarmed Qualley and Antonoff’s wedding rehearsal dinner in 2023.
They married at Parker’s Garage in Long Beach Island, New Jersey, with guests including Swift, model Cara Delevingne and Lana Del Rey in attendance.
