Montreal shooter ranted about Zionists, capitalism and being 'lonely' before deadly attack near Pornhub HQ, manifesto reveals

A gunman fatally shot a Montreal police officer during an attack in a Jewish neighborhood that also killed a local rabbi and injured another female officer before he was himself killed. Authorities later found he had left behind a disturbing 104-page manifesto.

Quebec’s coroner identified the attacker as 25-year-old Seth Hatfield. In the sprawling document, he railed against Zionists, capitalism, police, feminism, the pornography industry and a range of other perceived enemies, according to the Montreal Gazette, which examined the manifesto.

“Be unflinching, go forth, and KILL THEM ALL!” he wrote near the end of the deranged text.

Hatfield argued in the manifesto that feminism, liberalism and capitalism had produced what he described as a “situation of terrible loneliness, isolation, and social degradation” for men, the Guardian reported.

The Gazette reported that he also framed violence as a way to bring about a “new order” that would curtail women’s freedoms.

The attacker also allegedly listed “the headquarters of international pornography companies” and people who “actively promote pornography to the public” among his intended targets.

After the shooting, the Gazette reported seeing shattered windows at the Côte-des-Neiges building that contains Aylo, the parent company of Pornhub.

“We are aware of recent media reports about yesterday’s shooting, including reports discussing a possible connection to Aylo and Pornhub,” Aylo said in a statement to the publication. “The investigation remains ongoing, and we will not speculate on motive or share unconfirmed information.”

In a statement to The Post, Aylo said: “We want to express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of Const. Mohamed Lamine Benredouane and Michael Moshe Mizrahi, as well as to the Montreal Police Service (SPVM) and everyone affected by this horrific tragedy.

“The safety of our community is our highest priority, whether that be our dedicated employees, our online community, or the city of Montreal, which a large part of our team proudly calls home. Though our city was struck by tragedy, we want to express gratitude to the first responders who bravely protected us and ensured that none of our employees were physically harmed by yesterday’s events.”

Hatfield described influential Zionists and the headquarters of all corporations with ties to Zionism among his dozens of “valid potential Class A targets,” according to the Gazette.

Other prime targets Hatfield named include international real-estate companies, private equity firms, elite bankers, politicians, healthcare and oil CEOs, plastic surgeons, and cryptocurrency moguls.

Residents in the city’s Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood — a heavily Jewish section of the city with several kosher restaurants, a Chabad, Jewish schools, and Jewish community centers surrounding the area — were told to take shelter around 12:30 p.m. Monday after a gunman was spotted prowling the area, the outlet reported.

Harrowing footage of the shooting shows a pair of officers engaging the gunman in camouflage clothing, who rushes at them with a rifle.

Constable Mohamed Lamine Benredouane, 34, was killed during the shootout. A female officer, who has yet to be identified, was wounded in the attack.

Rabbi Michael Moshe Mizrahi, a member of the local Jewish community and the Chabad MADA center, was identified by Quebec MNA Monsef Derraji as the bystander who had been killed.

“He loves to celebrate together with everyone,” MADA community member David Kakon told Chabad News. “Someone who is always smiling, always has a kind word for someone else. Loves his family, loves Israel, and loves being a Jew. We are praying.”

It’s unclear whether Mizrahi, 68, was fatally wounded by crossfire during the shootout between police and the gunman.

Officials declined to identify Mizrahi or comment on the manner of his death late Monday, stating the investigation remains in its early stages.

“It’s a tragedy. It’s a nightmare,” Montreal Police Chief Fady Dagher told reporters in the aftermath.

Hatfield is believed to have acted alone.

The Post has reached out to SVMP and the Bureau des Enquêtes Indépendantes (BEI), which is now leading the investigation, for additional information.
