Four individuals—three men and a woman—now face murder charges following the fatal stabbing of a 43-year-old man in a park located on the NSW South Coast.

The incident prompted strike force detectives to set up a crime scene and launch an investigation after the man’s body was discovered on East Street in Bega around 2 a.m. on October 6.

Another victim, a 45-year-old man, also suffered stab wounds but was treated and recovered at South East Regional Hospital.

In a series of raids yesterday morning, police officers descended upon three residences in Bega and Bemboka, resulting in the arrest of three men, aged 29, 32, and 34, along with a 19-year-old woman.

All suspects were taken into custody at the Bega police station.

While the men received charges by the afternoon, the woman was charged later in the night following medical treatment for an unrelated issue, according to police reports.

The arrests came just days after a public tip-off led detectives and divers to search a private property and the Glebe Wetlands on East Street.

All four accused are expected to face Bail Division Court 3 on charges of murder and causing wounding or grievous bodily harm with intent to murder.

Investigations are continuing.
