Nurse suspected Lindsay Clancy was ‘manic’ and may have had bipolar disorder
Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner Rebecca Jollotta testified Tuesday that Lindsay Clancy’s symptoms, along with how she responded to medication, led her to suspect Clancy may have had bipolar disorder.
“A mixed state presentation is clinically acute, unstable. I really wanted to get her manic symptoms under control. I really wanted to get her to sleep,” Jollotta said.
Jollotta also pointed to a December 12, 2022, message exchange with Clancy, saying she “strongly, strongly” recommended that Clancy enter a partial hospitalization program.
The nurse testified that she raised the possibility of bipolar disorder during a December 2022 appointment attended by Clancy and her ex-husband, Patrick.
According to Jollotta, Patrick quickly rejected the suggestion.
“My wife is not bipolar,” Patrick said, Jollotta testified.
Jollotta said Clancy looked at her after the exchange but did not say anything.
