The woman whose relationship with disgraced FBI official Charles McGonigal helped expose the scandal that sent him to prison had previously confronted fears of a possible Russian hit team before she was found dead in South Florida, Our News Outlet can reveal.
Allison Guerriero, 52, acknowledged in text messages that she had “concerns,” but made clear she was not backing down, writing: “They don’t scare me.”
Guerriero, a former security consultant, died suddenly on Thursday evening, according to her devastated 80-year-old father, Bill. No cause of death has been made public.
Our News Outlet sought more specific documented details about her death through a public records request to Boynton Beach police, but the request was denied Tuesday, with officials citing an ongoing “criminal investigation.”
The response said “active criminal intelligence information and active criminal investigation information are exempt from public inspection” under a Florida statute governing exemptions to the inspection and copying of public records.
Her death came just hours after she posted 75 times on X, including a video of herself walking in the street while demanding attention on other federal officials, and another in which she said: “I hate the FBI.”
The posts were part of Guerriero’s relentless, years-long social media campaign against McGonigal, 58, who was married, as well as her broader crusade against other senior figures inside the bureau.
Her 18-month affair with the former head of FBI counterintelligence in New York helped bring McGonigal’s misconduct to light, including his secret work for Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
On the day of her death, Allison Guerriero had shared a series of posts on X, including video clips of herself strolling in her relatively new hometown of Boynton Beach, Florida, saying: ‘Hey, good morning everybody. Friends and enemies…’

While there is no publicly available evidence so far of foul play, Guerriero was clearly aware of the dangers of crossing swords with Moscow after the link to one of President Putin’s cronies was revealed.
Her inner thoughts were revealed in text messages with independent researcher Anthony Gonzales, who posts information under the name Anthony Andrews.
He asked her about reprisals and she replied: ‘As if I don’t have the same concerns? I turned in a traitor working for the Russians.
‘They don’t scare me. If they wanted me dead I’d be dead five or six years ago. I’m assuming they have wires up on my comms as well as Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia etc…
‘And definitely Mexico and Colombia because of past drug trafficking investigations I was a contractor on.’
Guerriero said in another text to Gonzales: ‘I work with the military, law enforcement and the intelligence community. We always say ‘nobody would even believe us if we told them these stories’.’
And she claimed regarding McGonigal’s downfall: ‘But I did pick up a lot of trade habits that enabled me to know how to collect the right evidence on Charlie. And it was hard.’
The messages were revealed in a lengthy online article by security consultant Jackie Singh on the website Hacking, but Legal. Published the day before she died, it was hugely critical of Guerriero.
Guerriero was found dead at her Boynton Beach apartment on Thursday evening at the age of 52. No cause of death has been released
Hours before her death, she had shared a series of X posts, including one in which she declared ‘The FBI is evil’
In particular, it picked apart her life, certain actions she took over McGonigal and her involvement with other well-known figures.
Singh admitted to Our News Outlet that the timing of the article has raised the question of suicide.
She expressed horror at news of the death before adding: ‘What I saw was a person who was highly destabilized by the notion that I was going to drop this piece. But I’m disturbed right now.
‘Did somebody whack her? I don’t think so. I think most likely she whacked herself. Oh man.’
Guerriero sent Singh three messages on the Thursday.
Part of the final one read: ‘I don’t wanna wreck your life like they did to me.’
Singh told Our News Outlet: ‘I had to ask her for a comment. She was threatening to call legal on me.’
But ‘she had no ability to tell me anything that I’d got wrong. She was just really mad… not wanting to substantially engage, then getting upset when she realized I wasn’t going to get fooled by her fiction.’

In messages, Guerriero admitted ‘concerns’ about reprisals from Russia while also declaring: ‘They don’t scare me’
Singh continued: ‘The story I wrote exposed the network behind Charlie McGonigal through Allison Guerriero.
‘I said these are the people she’s connected to, these are the people she’s taken photographs with, she’s at Mar-a-Lago (President Trump’s Palm Beach estate) all the time, here she is with Mike Flynn (former National Security Advisor). Here she is with all these Trump affiliated people.’
Meanwhile, Guerriero’s death certificate has not yet been released, according to Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics.
A mass of burial for her will take place at St Vincent Martyr Church, Madison, New Jersey on September 4, according to an obituary on the website of Dangler Funeral Homes.
It also said of Guerriero: ‘After trying her hand at different occupations, she found her niche in the security field, working for the past eight years as a researcher and investigator for Guidepost Solutions.
‘In addition, at the time of her passing she was also working as a researcher for author/publisher/radio talk show host Roger Stone.’
McGonigal is serving six years in federal prison, but Guerriero always believed he should have received a harsher sentence, telling Our News Outlet in 2024: ‘He’s a traitor.’
On the day of her death, she posted a selfie video of her strolling in her relatively new hometown of Boynton Beach, Florida, saying: ‘Hey, good morning everybody. Friends and enemies… of course I’m in the middle of all my PTSD from 9/11 but I’m actually breathing a huge sigh of relief…

‘Here’s the problem with Charles McGonigal. You know his name, but you never did before that. You knew Jim Comey’s name. You knew Chris Wray’s name.. all the names that you already know, you know. Why don’t you start looking for the names that you do not know?’
Guerriero’s father, who lives in her former hometown of Florham Park, New Jersey, said Monday that he did not know the cause of death. ‘We’re waiting to get access to the autopsy report,’ he said.
‘It could have been an accident. She could have slipped. It could have been anything. We’re waiting for the death certificate so we know what happened.’
Guerriero was also close to Roger Stone, the Florida-based conservative lobbyist and ally of President Trump.
‘I heard from her by text on the day she passed away and she seemed in excellent spirits,’ he told Our News Outlet. ‘They were work related. She was helping with some research.
‘Allison was a brilliant researcher and writer with an excellent knowledge of both law enforcement and our intelligence capabilities and wide network of contacts. She was widely respected in that world.’
Guerriero, who moved to Florida three years ago, was a cancer survivor and also battled severe and permanent injuries following a horrific fire.
‘She was a devout Roman Catholic. She was always trying to get me to go to Latin mass with her. She was an optimist. She had boundless energy, given her various health problems,’ Stone added.
McGonigal worked for the FBI from 1996 until his retirement in 2018, and from 2016 until he left the bureau he was the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division in the New York field office

Discounting suicide, he continued: ‘There’s no doubt that she would never take her own life. She was too devout a Roman Catholic. She would never do that. She overcame enormous adversity in her life. I’m going to miss her tremendously.
‘She was obviously still very unhappy with the fact that McGonigal should have been charged with treason but instead was only charged with taking bribes. She was extremely aggravated.’
While the cause of death is unknown publicly, other sources have hinted at possible darker reasons, although not Moscow based.
One told Our News Outlet: ‘She was getting threatened a lot by people online for her views. She certainly had enemies.’
Guerriero’s father countered that theory, saying: ‘She showed no concern that there was anyone trying to harm her or anything like that. I really don’t think there was anything suspicious, not from what I know about this.
‘I’m skeptical that there may be anything nefarious here. Believe me, I’m her father and if there were, I’d be adamant about it.
‘Since she moved to Florida she’s been the happiest I’ve ever seen her. She was treating herself very well. She was walking every day, exercising and eating right. She enjoyed getting up at dawn and walking on to the beach.’
Boynton Beach Police Department said ‘there do not appear to be any signs of foul play at this time’, but an investigation is ongoing.

Journalist and political consultant Ken Kurson, pardoned by President Trump over a cyberstalking allegation, said of Guerriero in a Facebook post: ‘I never met anyone like her. I can use adjectives to describe her – loyal, chaotic, irreplaceable, occasionally even brilliant.
Guerriero was a former vice president of US operations for Israeli security firm Mifram while working in New York. She first met McGonigal in spring 2017 as a volunteer for the Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation charity.
The then $200,000-a-year Fed wooed her over dinner, claiming he was going through a divorce from wife Pamela who he called ‘a nag’ who never agreed to sex.
His family home was in Chevy Chase, Maryland, but he lived in a sublet apartment in Park Slope, Brooklyn following his 2016 New York appointment by then-FBI director Comey.
In the three years before her death, Guerriero was exclusively interviewed several times by Our News Outlet, spilling on the couple’s sex life and McGonigal’s treachery.
She said they first had sex in a black Ford Explorer government SUV after she showed him where she went to high school in Florham Park.
Shortly afterward, Guerriero moved into the Park Slope apartment believing the spook had separated from Pamela and was getting a divorce.
While they were together, McGonigal flaunted his relationship with Guerriero, taking her into the FBI’s main office in Manhattan and up to what she calls the ‘Kings of New York’ floor – introducing her as his ‘girlfriend.’
He cleverly masked signs of his overall treachery, passing off any outward clues as part of his role. He took a trip to Albania during their relationship in 2017 and at one point asked Guerriero to accompany him to meet sanctioned metals magnate Deripaska.
According to court papers, on October 5 McGonigal received $80,000 from his former Albanian intelligence official associate in a car parked outside a New York restaurant.
Weeks later, Guerriero made a startling discovery in their apartment. A bag containing what she now knows was $80,000 in $100 bills, neatly rolled.
‘My mind went to them being what we call flash rolls, money you would give an undercover informant or an undercover agent for them to continue operating in the field,’ she told Our News Outlet. ‘They were in black plastic bag with gold writing, the sort you’d get from a liquor store.’
Challenged, McGonigal claimed he had won the money betting on a baseball game. Guerriero listened patiently, but her suspicion antenna was beginning to twitch.
However, it was McGonigal’s confession that he was not divorcing his wife that led to their breakup on Christmas Eve, 2018 – three months after he retired from the FBI and later became an $850,000-a-year head of security for a bank.
Guerriero tipped off people she knew at the FBI about her suspicions in 2019 after reflecting on events. Her accusations appeared to have fallen on deaf ears, although the wheels of justice obviously did begin to turn on McGonigal and he was arrested in January 2023. At the time, he and Pamela were living in Manhattan.
‘After Charlie and I had broken up, I had spent a series of weeks and months rolling everything over in my head,’ she said.
‘And it had occurred to me, this guy’s a traitor. He was accepting bribes to peddle influence. He was accepting bribes to work with Oleg Deripaska, who he invited me to meet in Vienna when we were still dating.
‘And every time I tried to talk to the FBI about it, they didn’t want to listen. I told other people within their senior executive service and nobody did anything.
‘The FBI and the United States Justice Department did not want to hear that their superstar was compromised.’
