Trump brutally admits: 'We're not happy' about Kimberly Guilfoyle

President Donald Trump said Monday that he is considering removing Kimberly Guilfoyle as the US ambassador to Greece.

Speaking to reporters en route to a rally in Youngstown, Ohio, Trump said he was weighing whether to dismiss Guilfoyle. Asked about her conduct, he replied, “Yeah. We’re not happy.”

Trump’s comments came one day after a US official said the president and Secretary of State Marco Rubio were “extremely pissed off” by a series of allegations involving Guilfoyle. The official said a decision on her future could come this week.

Rubio was reportedly especially angry. He traveled to Athens last week, where Guilfoyle joined him at several events and greeted him with a bear hug as the allegations continued to emerge.

Several reports have accused Guilfoyle of threatening an official in the host country, accepting improper gifts and services, and offering to use her influence within the administration in exchange for help paying a substantial credit card bill.

On Thursday, the senior Democrats on the Senate and House foreign affairs committees called on Rubio to investigate the allegations, pointing to reporting by the Journal.

“If these reports are accurate, Ambassador Guilfoyle is unfit to represent the United States abroad and should be removed from her position,” Representative Gregory Meeks of New York, the top House Foreign Affairs Democrat, wrote.

An embassy official said last month that Guilfoyle “continues to follow all State Department ethical guidelines.”

Our News Outlet has also exclusively reported that Guilfoyle’s party lifestyle has created tensions with members of Trump’s family.

Eric Deters, a Trump-world insider whom Guilfoyle reportedly approached for a six-figure payment, told Our News Outlet that she recruited his wife and a friend to secretly bring alcohol to her during a political festival. He said she acted “like a high schooler” trying to hide booze from her parents.

After the event, Deters said, Guilfoyle insisted on taking home all of the leftover catered food prepared for VIP guests.

He also said she pleaded with him to praise her in front of Donald Trump Jr., her former fiancé, in an effort to “win back his favor.”

Guilfoyle and Trump Jr ended their engagement in late 2024. Trump Jr is now dating Bettina Anderson.

Guilfoyle’s fondness for Champagne and parties has been widely documented. After Trump chose her as ambassador to Greece, insiders reportedly urged her to exercise caution, warning that a posting among the Aegean islands and seemingly endless summers was not an invitation to party without restraint.

Guilfoyle’s lawyers have rejected the allegations, arguing that her dispute with Deters involves unpaid professional work, not an effort to sell access to the administration.

In a statement reported Monday, her lawyers said Deters owed Guilfoyle about $150,000 for speaking engagements and consulting work completed in 2024 and early 2025.

Republicans, however, have begun turning against Guilfoyle. Senate Majority Whip John Barasso described the reports about the ambassador as “very troubling” and “concerning” during an interview with CBS anchor Margaret Brennan on Face the Nation on Sunday.

He added that he expected the State Department to conduct an investigation into the ambassador, before noting that ‘the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will have oversight and look into that as well.’
