ABC’s latest series, “Home For Good,” is bringing more than just home renovations—it’s transforming lives in a meaningful way.
The show focuses on delivering profound changes for those who have dedicated their lives to others, including first responders, military veterans, and community heroes. In an interview with On The Red Carpet, host Art Edmonds describes the series as a platform for individuals who prioritize the well-being of others over their own.
Edmonds elaborates, “Home For Good is truly uplifting, sharing stories of overcoming adversity and celebrating resilience.”
The series highlights individuals who have faced extraordinary challenges, with the aim of making their daily lives a bit more manageable.
For instance, the show might create a restful bedroom for a first responder who works night shifts and needs daytime rest, or install a handicap-accessible ramp for someone who hasn’t been able to enjoy their backyard in years. These changes significantly enhance their quality of life.
Once the heroes are introduced to the design team, the construction crew has a tight timeline of seven days to transform the space in a way that best supports the recipients, according to Edmonds.
The show is as feel-good as it is emotional! We asked Edmonds what that moment leading up to the big reveal feels like.
“That moment where I bring the individual or the family into that space, their eyes are covered, and we recap – We had a long week together. We’ve experienced highs and lows together – and then they see their space for the first time. It’s uplifting, inspiring and emotional all at the same time,” he says.
