It seems this bear is a cut above the rest!

In a comical twist captured on a “bear cam,” a clever young bear made its way into a Connecticut home’s backyard and skillfully nabbed a bag of Doritos left on the patio table.

This amusing footage is part of a research initiative by the state’s Department of Environmental Protection, which fitted select bears with collars to monitor their activities after emerging from hibernation this summer.

These collars are equipped with “bear cams,” offering a unique, first-hand look at the world from a bear’s perspective.

In one such adventure, a hungry bear wandered through a backyard, on the prowl for food, when it spotted an inviting bag of Doritos left unattended by the homeowner.

With a quick sniff, the bear clamped its jaws around the bag and made a hasty retreat to the woods, exhibiting a noticeable spring in its step as captured in the state agency’s shared video.

The rest of the backyard was left virtually untouched, save for a few paw prints in the dirt.

The “bear cam” project comes after Connecticut reported more than 12,000 human-bear interactions over the last year — with encounters becoming increasingly frequent as deforestation forces many bears out of their natural habitats.

In late March, one bear tried to steal an entire rolling dumpster while its twin cubs watched in apparent confusion.

The bear stood on its hind legs and peered into the dumpster multiple times while trying to steer it through a parking lot, viral video showed.

It eventually gave up when it couldn’t haul the dumpster over the curb.
