Disturbing 911 audio reveals a dispatcher reporting a “woman screaming and crying” shortly before Oklahoma influencer Sara Gilson was discovered fatally shot in an apparent murder-suicide involving her husband — weeks after she publicly accused him of being a pedophile in a viral TikTok video.
Police were sent to Gilson’s home in Owasso, Oklahoma, late Thursday after a man called 911 and authorities then lost contact with him.
“I’m trying to reach him back, but I could hear a female in the background screaming and crying,” a dispatcher is heard saying in the emergency audio, which was first obtained by TMZ.
The dispatcher also reported hearing “some sort of loud bang in the background” and noted that authorities were aware of troubling allegations involving Gilson’s husband, Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey, who had been sought after being accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl on a team he coached.
In the recording, a dispatcher refers to “a male that we were looking for a few weeks ago after he got caught kissing a juvenile.”
The estranged couple was later found dead inside Gilson’s Owasso residence after her son called 911 and reported that “his stepfather had shot his mother,” according to KTUL. The station did not disclose the child’s age, only identifying him as a minor.
The fatal incident unfolded shortly after Gilson, 43, took her allegations against Duffey, 48, public. She had a restraining order against him and had previously reported that he was armed and suicidal.
In a TikTok following the trend of pretending to film a Netflix documentary, Gilson said hers would be “about my soon-to-be ex-husband who I just found out is a pedophile.”
“I wish I was joking,” she captioned the now-viral video.
Duffey, a youth basketball coach, was accused of kissing and touching a 15-year-old girl on his team, as well as inviting her to his hotel room and offering her money to “keep her quiet,” according to a complaint by the alleged victim’s mother.
Gilson previously filed for two protective orders against Duffey in 2021, as well as a third last month, which had been extended through Aug. 24, according to court documents obtained by the Oklahoman.
In the most recent filing, she alleged that he had a gun, had threatened suicide, and “went on the run,” according to the filing.
Duffey was immediately ordered to leave the family home and stay 100 yards away from Gilson at all times, according to court records.
