On Tuesday, a spokesperson for ABC News confirmed that the senior national correspondent would not be returning to the network, following a since-deleted post in which he labeled the President and his Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor as “world-class haters.”

“We have concluded our agreement with Terry Moran, and due to his recent post — which clearly violated ABC News policies — we have decided not to renew his contract,” the statement read.

“At ABC News, we uphold the highest standards of objectivity, fairness, and professionalism for all of our reporters, and we remain dedicated to providing straightforward, trusted journalism,” it added.

Following the news, Townhall Media took to X and wrote, “NEW — ABC FIRES TERRY MORAN AFTER DISGUSTING SCREED AGAINST @StephenM! An ABC News Spokesman cited that it was a direct result of his post attacking Miller. Good riddance!”

Charlie Kirk added, “BREAKING: Terry Moran OUT at ABC after this unhinged attack against White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller. ABC calls his rant a ‘clear violation of ABC News policies.’ Terry Moran is a clear example of the radical media bias Americans have suffered under for decades.”

MRC Newsbusters marked the news with a post and clip. “ABC News fires Terry Moran! Here’s a look down memory lane at his worst moments.”

At the start of the clip, the former ABC News correspondent gushes about former President Barack Obama, comparing him to George Washington. In another part, he attempts to report on SCOTUS overturning Roe v. Wade, but says, “Let’s, not mince words, women will die because of this ruling.” We will let you watch the rest, but it gets pretty ridiculous after the 1:20-minute mark.

RedState alum Kira Davis wrote, “BREAKING: Terry Moran is out at ABC News following his unhinged late-night social media rant against Stephen Miller. Welcome to the unwashed masses, Terry!”

Newsmax’s Gerry Callahan added, “ABC had no choice. Terry Moran had to be fired. He pretended to be an objective journalist for 30 years but revealed the truth in one insane, drunken tweet. How could he go back on air and pose as a journalist again? Not possible. It would be like Bill Cosby coming out of prison and pretending to be a wholesome family man. Now let’s talk about Steffi Stephanopoulos.”

While podcast host Link Lauren wrote, “BREAKING: ABC has fired Terry Moran.” His post included a waving goodbye emoji.

In the network’s initial response to Moran’s post attacking Trump and Miller, a spokesperson for the news company said that “ABC News stands for objectivity and impartiality in its news coverage and does not condone subjective personal attacks on others.”

“The post does not reflect the views of ABC News and violated our standards — as a result, Terry Moran has been suspended pending further evaluation,” it added.
