The summer film calendar is about to get “freakier!” as Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan reunite for more body-swapping antics in the highly anticipated sequel, “Freakier Friday.”

We had the chance to chat with the stars for a new episode of “On The Red Carpet Presents: ‘Freakier Friday,'” where they discussed reprising their roles from the beloved 2003 Disney hit, “Freaky Friday.”

“I feel younger now than I did 22 years ago when we first shot that movie,” Curtis shared in her conversation with On The Red Carpet. “My mind feels more youthful. My creativity is on a whole new level.”

Lohan added, “It felt like riding a bike. It felt like it was just yesterday when we got on set. It felt like no time had passed, which is wild.”

The special episode, “On The Red Carpet Presents: Freakier Friday,” includes highlights from the Hollywood world premiere, featuring a performance by the band Pink Slip.

Viewers will also enjoy interviews with new cast members such as Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, and Vanessa Bayer, along with the return of Chad Michael Murray as “Jake.”

Plus, we open our video vault for a look back at our original interviews from when Lohan and Curtis were promoting their first “Freaky Friday” film.

“Freakier Friday” continues the tale of mother and daughter Tess (Curtis) and Anna Coleman (Lohan), with much having changed since their last appearance.

Anna now has a teenage daughter of her own, who gets mixed up in the family chaos, along with a soon-to-be stepdaughter.

To add to the drama, there’s a big wedding planned, which the two teenage girls (played by Butters and Hammons) aren’t happy about, so they hatch a plan to break their parents up before they say their vows!

The movie was filmed around the Los Angeles area, including Pacific Palisades and Altadena where devastating fires left an unprecedented path of destruction earlier this year.

Two key film locations, a pickleball court in Altadena and the original “Freaky Friday” home in Pacific Palisades, were destroyed.

“You will look at the Pacific Palisades and you will know what it looked like because of movies like ‘Freaky Friday,'” Curtis told On The Red Carpet.

“Freakier Friday” arrives in theaters on Aug. 8.
