Tiger Woods, the renowned golfer frequently involved in car accidents, prefers to drive himself rather than employ a chauffeur. His decision stems from a desire to maintain privacy and keep his movements under wraps.

According to a source cited by People, the 50-year-old sports icon values his independence and is reluctant to have staff members “monitor him or be privy to his activities.” The source further commented, “He believes he is capable of driving safely.”

Despite his substantial fortune, estimated at $1.5 billion by Forbes, Woods recently found himself in legal trouble. Last Friday, he was arrested under suspicion of DUI following a rollover crash in Jupiter Island, Florida.

Authorities suspect that he may have been impaired by “some type of medication or drug” during the incident. In the crash’s aftermath, Woods had to extricate himself from his SUV through the passenger door. He faces charges of driving under the influence, property damage, and refusing a lawful test.

Investigators believe he was allegedly under the influence of “some type of medication or drug” at the time.’

Woods, who was forced to crawl out of his overturned SUV from the passenger door, was charged with driving under the influence with property damage and refusing a lawful test.

The latest incident is the fourth time Woods has been involved in a car crash.

The most recent was in February 2021 when his SUV ran off a coastal road in Los Angeles at a high rate of speed, leading to multiple leg and ankle injuries.
