Vermin infestation forces closure of ultra-exclusive San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood

Luxury Retreat Shuts Down: West Hollywood's Elite San Vicente Bungalows Closed Due to Pest Outbreak

This week, a rodent and insect infestation led to the temporary closure of the restaurant at the exclusive San Vicente Bungalows club in West Hollywood.

Due to these pest issues, the elite members-only establishment faced several health violations, prompting Los Angeles County health officials to shut it down on Tuesday.

Located at 845 N San Vicente Blvd., the club’s restaurant also violated health codes concerning the cleanliness of surfaces that come into contact with food, as noted in the official report.

The timeline for the restaurant’s reopening remains uncertain. Typically, eateries must resolve such issues and successfully undergo a follow-up inspection before resuming operations.

The San Vicente Bungalows, owned by hotelier Jeffrey Klein, boasts a membership that reportedly includes illustrious names like Julia Roberts and Eddie Redmayne, as highlighted in a 2019 GQ article.

Other notable figures such as director Steven Spielberg, Netflix’s Ted Sarandos, and actor Bradley Cooper have also been seen frequenting the venue.

Photography is forbidden at the club and members can face penalties for being on their phone.

Klein’s hope for the club was to make it a bastion of exclusivity for its A-list guests.

“We don’t judge at all,” he told GQ. “Bring your wife one night, your mistress the next night and your boyfriend the one after. That’s sort of what this was created for — no judging. Where else can you do that in privacy?”

Club-goers also aren’t allowed to talk about what happens inside.

“Members and guests are expected to respect the privacy of others. It is strictly forbidden to discuss anything that members or their guests witness during their visit,” its website says.

Anyone wishing to become a member must be nominated by a current member.

“Although a nomination does not guarantee acceptance, it is the only way to be invited to apply,” the website notes.

The California Post contacted the San Vicente Bungalows for comment.
