It’s Jenny from the jail block.
A Minnesota woman’s shoplifting arrest photo has gone viral after social media users noticed her striking resemblance to pop superstar Jennifer Lopez.
Cyrena Anne Quast, 35, was arrested Aug. 30 after allegedly stealing two double packs of power-tool batteries valued at roughly $580 from a Monticello store, according to a criminal complaint obtained by The Watch MN.
A store employee reportedly recognized Quast from an alleged theft two days earlier and contacted police.
Quast allegedly admitted taking the battery packs and was booked on a gross-misdemeanor theft charge, according to online arrest records.
Still, the alleged theft is not what has made her famous online.
Instead, widespread attention has focused on Quast’s resemblance to the 57-year-old international music icon in the mugshot released by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
“For a moment I thought it was jlo lmao,” one user wrote. Another joked, “There’s a glitch in the matrix lol.”
Many commenters also riffed on Lopez’s signature 2002 hit, “Jenny from the Block,” after the mugshot of the apparent Lopez look-alike began circulating.
“In prison she’s known as Jenny from D-Block!” one person posted, while another quipped, “Jenny been walking the block too much.”
“She’s definitely still Jenny from the block,” another commenter added.
“JENNIFER IF YOU DONT COME CLAIM YOUR SISTER RIGHT NEEOWWWWWWWW & DO THIS DNA TESTTTT. Do it for us. dis yo sistaaaaa gurlllllllllll,” another user joked.
The Daily Mail reported that Quast was released the day after her Aug. 30 arrest.
Online court and arrest records indicate the case was not Quast’s first encounter with law enforcement.
Records show that the J.Lo look-alike has previously been arrested in connection with allegations including drug possession, driving while intoxicated, fleeing police and providing false identification, as well as several traffic violations.
