Multiple injured after bus full of NYC high school students and chaperones crashes near Lake George

A bus carrying students and chaperones from several Bronx high schools crashed on Sunday morning near Lake George, resulting in multiple injuries, local authorities have reported.

The incident occurred when the tour bus swerved off the roadway and collided with multiple objects, including trees, an outbuilding, a boat, and another vehicle. This happened shortly after 11:10 a.m. near the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Diamond Point Road, according to a statement from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office shared with The Post.

The bus was transporting 17 students along with six adults, as detailed by WABC.

Following the crash, four passengers and the driver were transported to nearby hospitals to be treated for minor injuries, as stated by law enforcement.

Those who were not injured were taken to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, where they received assistance from the American Red Cross while arrangements were made for their further transportation.

At this time, it’s not specified how many of the injured are students.
