Police in New York are searching for an “armed and dangerous” man wanted in connection with a homicide and a house fire in Orange County.
New York State Police issued a public alert Friday morning for Thomas David Ryan, 32, who is being sought in a homicide investigation tied to a home in Greenville.
Investigators believe the killing may be linked to a fire reported Thursday on Greenville Turnpike, according to FOX 5 New York. Fire crews in Orange County were called to the scene shortly after 7 p.m.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, and it remains unclear whether the homicide took place before or after the fire.

“Ryan is 6’2″ 200 lbs and was last seen in the area of Greenville [Turnpike] wearing black sweatpants and a black t shirt. Anyone coming in contact with Ryan is advised to use caution,” NYSP said.
Police said if you see the suspect do not approach him, instead call 911.
