Special Edition of 'Reagan' Biopic Rereleasing in Movie Theaters for America250

As the United States marks the 250th anniversary of its founding, a new theatrical release tied to one of the nation’s most prominent presidents is on the way. According to Deadline, the biopic Reagan, centered on the life of the 40th president, Ronald Wilson Reagan, is headed back to theaters in 2026.

This time, however, audiences won’t be seeing the exact same cut that played during the film’s original 2024 release. Deadline reported that the updated version will feature an additional 10 minutes of footage restored by the director.

Director Sean McNamara outlined the thinking behind the expanded edition in a statement.

Although a small number of special screenings are planned for July 4, the broader opportunity to watch Reagan on the big screen will come with a nationwide rollout later in the fall.

RedState contributor Bob Hoge previously attended the film’s premiere and also had the opportunity to speak with one of its stars, actor Jon Voight.

And while some limited group showings will happen on July 4, your best chance to catch “Reagan” (again?) on the silver screen will happen in the fall nationwide:

Plans are for limited group screenings [in] more than a dozen cities on July 4, with a wide release in about 600 theaters in September.

RedState’s Bob Hoge attended a premiere screening of “Reagan,” and got a chance to sit down with one of the stars, actor Jon Voight.
