Authorities are actively searching for a woman who assaulted a 38-year-old man with hot cooking oil during an altercation in Brooklyn, which resulted in him sustaining severe burns.
The incident took place in the early hours of October 15, around 5 a.m., in a residence located near E. 94th St. and Winthrop St. in Brownsville. According to police reports, the conflict between the couple escalated to violence when the woman allegedly grabbed a pan filled with scalding hot oil from the stove and poured it over the man. This attack led to significant burn injuries on his chest, arms, and legs.
Emergency medical services quickly transported the injured man to Staten Island University Hospital. He is currently in critical but stable condition, receiving necessary medical treatment for his injuries.
Following the violent encounter, the woman reportedly fled the scene. Police have provided a description of the suspect, who is believed to be around 30 years old, with a medium build and long black braided hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing black pants with white lettering on one side, a black shirt, and black sneakers.
