More than 200 charges were laid and 95 people arrested during a two-day crime crackdown in Sydney.

On October 25 and 26, Sydney’s north-west became the focal point for a significant police operation, drawing officers from various regions to tackle pressing community issues. This high-profile initiative, aimed at enhancing public safety, saw the deployment of approximately 250 specialist officers working alongside standard frontline police.

The operation had a comprehensive agenda, focusing on high-risk domestic violence offenders, the unlawful sale and distribution of vape and tobacco products, illegal firearms, and weapons. Additionally, authorities addressed drug supply, pursued individuals with outstanding warrants, and monitored breaches of the child protection register. Officers were also active in conducting bail checks, ensuring compliance with domestic violence orders, and performing licensing checks.
