In a surprising turn of events, approximately 70 teenage girls were found unharmed after exploring the sewer system during a school excursion in Nyack, New York, as reported by officials on Wednesday.
The incident involved students from Toras Emachu School, located in Monsey, who were visiting Memorial Park in Nyack—situated around 50 miles from New York City—when they decided to explore a drainage culvert near the town’s bustling business area.
It was an officer from Orangetown who first noticed some of the girls emerging from a sewer grate in an alley adjacent to the main street and promptly informed local authorities, according to a report by News 12 Westchester.
Fortunately, all the students managed to exit the culvert without assistance, and no major injuries were sustained during the ordeal.

While one student received treatment at the scene, another girl experiencing abdominal discomfort was transported to Montefiore Nyack Hospital for further evaluation, the report added.
