Newly surfaced video captures the alarming moment a 13-year-old Disneyland visitor went over a waterfall section of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at the Southern California theme park.
The teenage boy appeared to be seated near the rear of the ride vehicle as it neared the attraction’s well-known 50-foot drop when he abruptly attempted to climb out, according to footage recorded Sunday and obtained by TMZ. Moments later, the video shows him sliding down the water chute to the base of the ride.
Disneyland employees quickly halted the attraction following the incident, Disneyland Resort officials told The California Post. The teen was transported to a nearby hospital to be checked out and was discharged shortly afterward.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure reopened Monday and was operating normally after an inspection by officials with the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, known as Cal/OSHA, The Post learned.

Visitors at Disneyland later described the frightening episode on Reddit, saying they had seen parts of it unfold firsthand.
“I was in the ride when this happened I actually saw the kid fall down the hill for a second when our log passed the fall. 4 people in our log saw it and then one minute later the ride stopped for probably 10 minutes then it started again we went throughout the ride like nothing happened,” one Reddit user wrote.
“When we got off there were about 6 Disney police and a mother and two kids were with them all soaked,” the user added.
