Security guard fatally shot outside Houston restaurant after confrontation with suspect

A security officer lost his life after being shot outside a Houston eatery on Wednesday evening due to an altercation, officials reported.

The incident unfolded at approximately 6:15 p.m. in front of Connie’s Seafood Market Restaurant, according to the Houston Police Department.

According to FOX26 Houston, the security guard, employed by the restaurant, was present in the parking area when a dispute erupted with another individual, leading to the tragic event.

The guard suffered at least one gunshot wound and was swiftly transported to a medical facility, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities did not immediately release the name of the victim.

The suspect was last seen running away from the parking lot after the shooting.
