Last week, the House of Representatives voted on a resolution to censure Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) over her disgusting comments about Charlie Kirk.
The attempt was unsuccessful, as my colleague Rusty Weiss put it, because four indecisive Republicans sided with a Democratic initiative to table the resolution.
Omar called Kirk “hateful” and said that the Americans who called him “civil” were “full of sh**.” She also reposted a disparaging video about him.
In some respects, the gathering for Charlie Kirk at the State Farm Arena in Arizona serves as an apt counterpoint to Ilhan Omar. Would there ever be a comparable number of individuals eager to honor Omar? The memorial is uniting people in prayer and commemorating his life. What positive contributions has she made to the world other than spreading negativity? What would anyone celebrate about her?
